The Department of Mathematics was established in 1947. At present there are 6 faculty members in the department.

The department started manual as well as software based Mathematics practical for the first time in Gujarat.

The Department is keen at identifying current trends in Mathematics education and organizes workshops for mathematics community at regular intervals. All the facuties of department have either Ph.D. completed or qualified NET examination and pursuing Ph.D.

The department also provides an opportunity to all the students of the college to learn LaTex , a computer language for learning mathematical and technical typesetting through an Add-On course.
